Coca-Cola has used artificial intelligence to create its latest flavored soda

The Coca-Cola Company has revealed a new flavored soda it’s launching as part of its Coca-Cola Creations line, and this new flavor was created by AI. The flavor is called Coca-Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar. So… AI is creating food for us now!

Coca-Cola has released some strange flavors across its Creation line, and all the flavors I tried were not good. I guess this one won’t be any better.

Coca‑Cola invites fans “to imagine the flavors and sensations of the future with a limited edition drink and a new experience powered by artificial intelligence”.

Coca‑Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar was “co-created with human and artificial intelligence by understanding how fans imagine the future through emotions, aspirations, colors, flavors and more. The insights of fans around the world, combined with information gathered by artificial intelligence, helped inspire Coca‑Cola to create the unique flavor of Y3000. “

Coca‑Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar “sports an equally futuristic and optimistic visual identity. Co-created with artificial intelligence, the design shows the liquid in a changing and evolving state, communicated through changes in shape and color that emphasize a positive future. A light-toned color palette with purple, magenta and cyan on a silver base gives it a futuristic feel. The iconic Spencerian script features a connected matrix with groups of fluid dots that come together to represent the human connections of our future planet.”

Oana Vlad, Senior Director, Global Strategy, The Coca‑Cola Company said in a statement: “We hope that Coca‑Cola is still as relevant and refreshing in the year 3000 as it is today, so we challenged ourselves to explore the concept of what it could taste like a Coca-Cola of the future, and what kind of experiences would a Coca-Cola of the future unlock? The “Real Magic” brand platform celebrates the unexpected connections that make the ordinary extraordinary, so we intentionally brought together human intelligence and artificial intelligence for an uplifting expression of what Coca‑Cola believes tomorrow will bring.”

Consumers can scan the QR code on the packaging to access the Coca‑Cola Creations Hub, where they can filter photos through the customized Y3000 AI Cam to imagine what their current reality might look like in the future.
