The HARRY POTTER series producer says the show will explore the books in more depth

THE Harry Potter The series announced several months ago is still a long way off, but that doesn’t stop us from talking about all our hopes and dreams for what it will be. The producer of the show, David Heymannwho produced all eight installments of the Harry Potter films, has worked on the next Warner Bros. film. Wonkaand speaking to Total Film magazine this month about the film, he also hinted at the highly anticipated series, saying:

“[On Harry Potter] These are the first days. We didn’t even hire a writer to start writing. It’s a bit early. But hopefully [it will be] something very special, giving us the opportunity to see the books and enjoy a series that explores the books more deeply.”

This is the same sentiment shared by fans around the world, including the films’ star, Daniel Radcliffewho recently shared his hopes for the series to be more complete, saying:

“I am enthusiastic as a spectator. I’ll be able to enjoy it with everyone else possibly, with a slightly different perspective. It’s a beautiful thing that a whole new generation is being introduced to stories in a new way. They’ll see it as a TV series, so they’ll probably have time to dig into all the stuff. So hopefully people who were upset about things that were cut from the movie will finally be able to see the full version they wanted.”

I think it will be great to see the shows include all the details that were left on the cutting room floor in the films. There simply wasn’t enough time to create the depth of story written in the pages of the books. I want to re-read the entire series before watching the show so I can grasp all the nuances. I haven’t read them since they came out, so I’ll have to give them another go! And I have a lot of time like Harry Potter the series premiere is expected on Max in 2025/2026.
