New trailer for KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON by Martin Scorsese

Apple TV+ has released another trailer for Martin Scorseseit is the most acclaimed film The Flower Moon Assassins. The trailer offers more information about the story, the characters and their motivations. The film has received great reviews from those who have seen it and looks like it could be one of Scorsese’s best films.

Leonardo Dicaprio he stars in the film as Ernest Burkhart, and as you’ll see, he gives an incredible performance. In fact, some people say this performance is the best of his career. He is reached by Lily Gladstone as Mollie Burkhart, an Osage married to Ernest, grandson of a powerful local rancher, played by Robert De Niro. Brendan Fraser (The Mummy) AND Jesse Plemon (Horn) also star in the film. Gladstone also received much praise for her performance in the film.

The film is based on David Grannthe book of, Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, and the story is set in 1920s Oklahoma. It describes the serial murder of members of the oil-rich Osage nation, a series of brutal crimes that became known as the Reign of Terror. Here is a description of the story:

In the late nineteenth century, the Osage Indians were driven to a supposedly worthless expanse of land in northeastern Oklahoma. But it turned out that their territory sat atop one of the largest oil fields in the United States; to obtain that oil, prospectors had to pay rents and royalties to the tribe. By the 1920s, members of the Osage Nation had become the richest people per capita in the world. And then the Osage began to die under mysterious circumstances.

When previously we talked about the film, about the screenwriter Eric Roth shared, “This was a unique story that I knew nothing about. It proved my ignorance. I thought, “This is amazing, this could be a Western.” Marty has never done a western. It’s the first time you’ll see a street scene where there are 90% indigenous Native Americans and 1 or 2% Caucasians.”

Roth also said he uses “a lot of Western clichés” in the story. He also teased something special planned for the credits, saying: “I found an incredible way to do the credits that you’ve never seen. The other day he texted me: “I’ll be shooting our credits in a couple of days.” I was so happy he was doing it.

He also explained that this film is “nothing we’ve ever seen” and that it will be “one for the ages”, saying, “I know Marty is trying to make a film that is probably the last Western made this way.” , and yet, with this incredible underlying social document, and the violence and the environment. I think it’s going to be something we’ve never seen, in a way. And so this is, for me, one for the ages.

The film will have a limited theatrical release on October 6, 2023, with a wide theatrical release following on October 20, 2023. I can’t wait to watch this film.
