20th Century Studios has released a trailer for a new comedy titled Quiz ladywhat stars Sandra Oh, Awkwafina, Jason SchwartzmannAND Will Ferrell.
The film follows two sisters who embark on an adventure in an attempt to find money to pay off their mother’s gambling debts. Their journey leads to participation in a large game show competition. The film is described as a “hilarious and heartfelt comedy”.
In the film, “a bright but tough, gaming-obsessed young woman, Anne (Awkwafina), and her broke, estranged sister Jenny (Oh) must work together to help cover their mother’s gambling debts. When Anne’s beloved dog is kidnapped, the two embark on a wild cross-country journey to get the money the only way they know how: by turning Anne into a game show champion.
Quiz Lady is directed by Jessica Yu from a screenplay written by Jen D’Angelo and the film is also the protagonist Holland Taylor, Tony HaleAND Jon “Amazed” Park.
The film is scheduled to premiere on November 3, 2023.
