I was curious to know the history of that Tim Burtonit is imminent Beetle juice 2 will tell. We really don’t know anything about the film other than who will star in it, but during a recent interview with The Wrap, cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos offered some further insight. He explains that the film will tell a story about the family.
She explained: “Its heart is Beetlejuice [2]’ is the story of a family, and now it’s been 30 years and what are the complexities and the human condition of keeping a family together for all that time set in the craziest world possible? That’s why I choose projects. That human connection is always at the forefront for me.”
The film is also the protagonist Michael Keatonwho returns to play the role of Ghost with the Most, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, Jenna Ortega like her daughter, Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz, Justin Theroux (Leftovers), AND Monica Bellucci (Irreversible, Spectre, The Apartment) as Beetlejuice’s wife in the story. Willem Dafoe he is also in the film and plays a ghoulish law enforcement officer in Neitherworld.
Production on the project began this week with Burton directing from a script written by Alfred Gough AND Miles Millar (Wednesday and Smallville). The screenplay was also worked on by Mike Vukadinovichwith previous drafts of Seth Grahame-Smith AND David Katzenberg. Katzenberg and Grahame-Smith are producing. Danny Elfoman he is also returning to compose the score.
The film will be released in theaters on September 6, 2024.
