20th Century Studios has released a new featurette for the director Kenneth Branaghthe horror and mystery thriller, An infestation in Venice. This film is based on the novel “Hallowe’en Party” by Agatha Christie and Branagh once again plays the famous detective Hercule Poirot.
The video is called “Eerie Ensemble” and focuses on the cast of characters that fill the story. The actors talk about their experiences making the film, and Branagh explains how the actors brought humanity into the film, making things even creepier.
He said, “All these wonderful actors provide a humanity that is very touching and very haunting, and all of that confuses you and you’re in for a real conundrum as far as whodunit is concerned.”
The film is set in eerie post-WWII Venice, on the eve of All Saints’ Day, and is a terrifying mystery with the return of the celebrated detective, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and a resident in self-imposed exile in the most glamorous city in the world, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance in a rundown and haunted mansion. When one of the guests is killed, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.
The ensemble cast also includes Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly ReillyAND Riccardo Scamarcio.
A Haunting in Venice will be released exclusively in theaters on September 15, 2023.
