It is confirmed that the second season of ARCANE will debut in 2024

The first season of Netflix League of Legends animated series, Arcane, it was pretty damn awesome and fans were eagerly awaiting the release of season 2. The next season is currently in development and has been for quite some time. But now we know when we can expect Season 2 to end.

The acclaimed animated series is expected to return for its second season at the end of next year, in 2024. The news was announced at the Video V Vision conference hosted by Tencent, the Chinese parent company of League of Legends. There’s a good chance we can expect the series to release in November, which is the month in which the first season was released, and it’s also the time of the League of Legends 15th Anniversary event.

CEO of Riot Games Nicholas Laurent they previously offered an update explaining why it’s taking longer to release season 2:

“It’s not ready yet and there [are] two reasons for this. One, you want quality. We just don’t want to be in a hurry and therefore it takes time. So that’s the good reason. The negative reason is, honestly, we didn’t know if Season 1 was going to be a hit, so we didn’t start Season 2 until [later]. Had I known, we could have started Season 2 much earlier. But we didn’t know that, so we waited a bit and now we pay the price. So, unfortunately, it won’t be this year.”

I’m fine with waiting longer if it means we get an incredible second season. That first season set an incredibly high bar, and season 2 has to at least meet those standards.

The series is set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underworld of Zaun, and the story follows the “origins of two iconic League champions and the power that will tear them apart.” These two characters are Vi and Jinx, sisters who find themselves at odds after a series of tragic and unfortunate events.

The characteristics of the series Hailee Steinfeld like Vi, Katie Leung as Caitlyn, Kevin Alexander as Jayce, Jason Spisak like Silco, Ella Purnell like jinx, Toks Olagundoye in the role of Mel, JB Blanc such as Vander, e Harry Lloyd in the role of Victor.
