Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Road of Despaira neo-noir crime thriller set in the South with the protagonist Mel Gibson AND Garrett Hedlund. The film is also based on the novel of the same name by Michael Farris Smithwho also wrote the screenplay for the film.
In the movie,. “In a small Mississippi town, justice and the law are two very different things. Mel Gibson (Brave heart), Garrett Hedlund (TRON: Legacy), AND Willa Fitzgerald (Scream: The TV Series) star in a modern noir thriller based on Michael Farris Smith’s acclaimed novel about two lost souls tortured by the mistakes of their pasts and bound by a secret that keeps them running.
The film is also the protagonist Ryan Hurst, Woody McClain, Katy Bodenhamer, Kat Foster, Ella Thomas, Pyper Braun, Michael MilliganAND Shiloh Fernandez.
Road of Despair is directed by Nadine Crocker and will be released on October 6, 2023 and will be available in select theaters, on demand and in digital storefronts.
