Pedro Pasquale AND Chris Hemsworth are trying to star in a new film project titled Crime 101which is an adaptation of Don Winslowis the novel of the same name. Pascal and Hemsworth both expressed interest in the film before the strikes began in Hollywood.
No deals have been finalized for the actors yet, but according to Deadline, Amazon and Netflix are pursuing the project and it looks like the project will come to Amazon in a $100 million deal.
This is an interesting crime story that is said to be in the vein of Heat. In the story, “A string of high-profile jewelry thefts up and down the Pacific Coast Highway went unsolved for years, mostly because the perpetrator lived by a strict code he calls ‘Crime 101.’ Police attribute the thefts to Colombian cartels. But Detective Lou Lubesnick’s gut says it’s one man’s job. Now the jewel thief lone wolf is looking for the legendary final score and Lou breaks all the rules of “Crime 101”.
The film will be directed by American animals helmsman Bart Layton. American Animals was a great movie and Crime 101 looks like a great movie project for all involved.
