Disney+ reveals STAR WARS: AHSOKA viewership numbers and Lucasfilm releases statement

Disney+ has revealed that the first episode of Star Wars: Ahsoka, titled “Master and Apprentice” received 14 million views and became the most watched title on the streaming service. The series has been met with mixed reviews so far, but as an animation fan Star Wars show, I was happy with it and thought it was a great start to what is sure to be a strong series.

Lucasfilm also released the following statement from Kathleen Kennedy, saying:

“Ahsoka has become a fan favorite among people of all ages and it’s wonderful to see her continue to resonate with viewers in her starring series. I want to acknowledge the amazing work done by our creative team, led by Dave Filoni AND Jon Favreauthe incredible cast led by Rosario Dawsonand our talented crew – and on behalf of the team and all of Lucasfilm, we thank all the fans who have been with Ahsoka every step of the way through her journey and to all who are getting to know her right now in Ahsoka on Disney+.”

I love what Filoni and Favreau have done with the Star Wars franchise, and I hope they continue to tell these amazing and epic stories set in a galaxy far away.

Star Wars: Ahsoka it’s basically the fifth season of Rebels and the story picks up where the animated series left off. The official synopsis reads: “Set after the fall of the Empire, Star Wars: Ahsoka follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) while investigating an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

He reappears with Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) as they embark on a journey to find Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) and Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen), their adventure really begins. The series is also the protagonist Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, Ray Stevenson such as Baylon, e Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati.
