Fantastic first trailer and poster for the Netflix original historical drama film RUSTIN

Netflix has released the first trailer for their historical drama Rustin. The film is the protagonist Colman Domingo (Selma, Fear the walking dead) as the title character, Bayard Rustin; and he is joined by Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, Gus Halper, CCH Pounder, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Johnny Ramey, Michael Potts, Jeffrey Wright AND Audra McDonald. The film was directed by George C. Wolfe (The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Ma Rainey’s black bottom), from a screenplay written by Julian Breece (When they see us) AND Dustin Lance Black (Milk, Under the banner of heaven).

The synopsis of the film reads:

“Directed by DGA Award and five-time Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe and starring Emmy Award winner Colman Domingo, RUSTIN puts the long-awaited spotlight on Bayard Rustin, the architect of the landmark 1963 March on Washington Alongside such giants as Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., Adam Clayton Powell Jr. and Ella Baker, Bayard Rustin dared to imagine a different world and inspired a movement marching towards freedom.
