Director Harmony Korinewho made movies like Children, spring breakersAND The beach bumrecently praised the new trailer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. In fact, he says it’s better than anything Steven Spielberg have ever done!
During a recent interview with GQ, Korine said, “You could be watching the Call of Duty trailer right now, and it looks better than anything Spielberg has ever done.”
That’s high praise, and while the trailer looks pretty awesome with impressive graphics, it’s a video game trailer and has the same feel as many video game trailers for this type of military warfare games.
Now, I’m a huge Call of Duty fan, but I just can’t agree that this game trailer is better than anything Spielberg has done. It’s hard to even compare the two! They are two completely different mediums. I guess Korine just wanted to try Spielberg for some reason.
