Zack Snyder’s REBEL MOON Director’s Cut will run for a full hour

Zack Snyder will develop more cuts for its next two rebel moon movie. One will be a PG-13 regular cut, the other will be an R-rated director’s cut, and Snyder has confirmed his director’s cut will include an hour of extra footage! During an interview with Netflix TudumSnyder spoke about the extended cut and his history with director’s cuts:

“The Director’s Cut is close to an hour of extra content, so I think it’s a legit take on the extended universe. You can really see a lot. It’s just more painted throughout.” [cut] it’s a deep dive to settle in, which I’ve famously done throughout my career. I don’t know how I ended up in the Director’s Cut world, but what I can say is that, for me, the Director’s Cut has always been something that I’ve had to fight for in the past and nobody wanted that. It was this bastard child that I was always trying to piece together because they felt there was a deeper version.

“And with Netflix we only shot scenes for the Director’s Cut. So in that sense, it’s really a revelation because it gives that second kick to the can for big fans, like a real find that they wouldn’t have [otherwise] Obtain.”

The story follows a group of ragtag rebels who rise up to fight against a gigantic evil empire. It is set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical regent Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them make a stand against the Tyrant.

The movie stars Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou. Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martino, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Anthony Hopkins, AND Alfonso Herrera.

The two Rebel Moon films are titled A child of fire and the second titled The Scarifierwhich will be released next spring. A child of fire will arrive on Netflix on December 22nd.
