The official titles for Zack Snyderit’s coming rebel moon the films were revealed ahead of the teaser trailer, which is due out tomorrow. The titles of the two Star Warsinspired movies are Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Firewhich will be released on December 22, 2023. The second installment will be titled Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiverwhich will most likely be released in 2024.
The story follows a group of rebel rebels who rise up to fight against a gigantic evil empire. It is set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical regent Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them make a stand against the Tyrant. You can find out many more details about the series here.
Previously speaking about the project, Synder said, “This is me growing up like Akira Kurosawa fan, a Star Wars fan. It’s my love of sci-fi and a giant adventure. My hope is that this too becomes a huge IP and a universe that can be built.”
This is a two part film and each part will have an R-rated edition for fans to watch as well. The film is the protagonist Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou. Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huismann, Anthony Hopkins, AND Alfonso Herrera.
Snyder has big plans for this franchise and said he has endless ideas for movies and TV. So, if these first two movies end up being big hits for Netflix, Snyder will continue to add to this world that he hopes to build.
