I’m a big fan of Unexplored franchises and most of the games that were released told really cool and interesting stories. Obviously, Hollywood wanted to make a film adaptation and after years of trying to get that project off the ground, they finally made a Unexplored movie in 2022 with Tom Holland AND Mark Wahlberg.
That movie was so bad that it was painful for me to watch. There was nothing in that movie that I liked, and it’s one of the worst movies I’ve seen in recent times. I have no idea how that movie was made and the fact that some people actually liked it is something I will never understand.
So, I just read this quote from the film’s producer, Charles Rovere, saying he thinks the movie is really good, and they’re looking into making a sequel. During a recent interview with THR, Roven was specifically asked if there is a desire to continue franchise work, and she said:
“Oh yeah! We really enjoyed that movie. Fans really liked the movie and people who didn’t know anything about the game really liked the movie. So we’re definitely looking to make another one.”
I honestly don’t know how a real fan of the game liked that movie, but ok. I would love nothing else if Sony Pictures didn’t make another one Unexplored movie, and all I can do is hope it never happens. I just don’t want to see such a waste of money and talent again.
I get a lot of bullshit from people about how I like all the movies I see. Obviously it is not true!
