A teaser trailer has been released for an incredibly funny looking monster movie How to kill monsters and this Lovecraft-inspired horror film is overflowing with blood and gore! The other thing about this movie that I’m a fan of is the fact that the monsters and effects work it’s all practical. This movie is going to be a blast!
In the film, “The sole survivor of a blood-soaked massacre must team up with a group of rookie cops and thugs to defend a police station from an invasion of Lovecraftian monsters from another dimension.”
The description goes on to say, “With a menagerie of monsters crafted entirely with practical effects and buckets of fake blood and guts thrown in for good measure, How to Kill Monsters will scratch the itch of horror fans craving a throwback popcorn horror flick.” which delivers thrills, kills and laughs in equal measure.
How to kill monsters is directed by Stewart Sparke (Book of Monsters), who co-wrote the screenplay with Paul Butler and is produced by Cal O’Connell. The director says How to Kill Monsters is a “love letter to the 80s and 90s horror movies I grew up watching on VHS.”
Stewart goes on to say that the film will include “a dash of British humor in the vein of Hot Fuzz and the self-aware twists of Scream to offer genre fans a blood-soaked popcorn horror movie that feels both nostalgic and fresh. “
How to kill monsters will premiere at FrightFest on Friday 25 August at Cineworld Leicester Square, London, with cast and crew in attendance.
The film is the protagonist Lyndsey Crane (Book of Monsters, eating Miss Campbell), Arron Dennis (Zomblogalypse, Book of Monsters), FenfenHuang (Now You See Me 2, Operation Red Sea), Daniel Thrace (The underlying creature, the myth of blood) AND Nicholas Vincent (Hellraiser, Hellbound, Nightbreed).
Enjoy the trailer!
