Netflix has released a trailer for a satirical vampire film titled El Condé, which translates as Il Conte. The film is a dark comedy horror film “that imagines a parallel universe inspired by the recent history of Chile. The film portrays Augusto Pinochet, a symbol of world fascism, as a vampire who lives hidden in a ruined villa in the cold southern tip of the continent.
The synopsis continues: “Feeding his appetite for evil to sustain his existence. After two hundred and fifty years of life, Pinochet has decided to stop drinking blood and abandon the privilege of eternal life. He can no longer bear that the world remembers him as a thief.
“Despite the disappointing and opportunistic nature of her family, she finds new inspiration to continue living a life of vital, counter-revolutionary passion through an unexpected relationship.”
It looks like an interesting film and it comes from the director Pablo Larrain. The film is the protagonist Jaime Vadell, Gloria Munchmeyer, Alfredo Castro, Paula Luchsinger, Catalina Guerra, Marcial Tagle, Amparo Noguera, Diego MunozAND Antonia Zegers.
The film is rated “R” for “strong violence and gore” and “explicit nudity” and will premiere on Netflix on September 15, 2023. It looks like a great film and I can’t wait to watch it.
