Director Kevin Smith is going into business with Children’s trash can! Together they are launching a line of Children’s trash can cards based on characters from his View Askewniverse, which is the interconnected world featured in Smith’s films such as Employees, Malrat, Hunting for AmyAND Dogma.
View Askew is the name of Smith’s production company. If you’re a fan of the Smith movies and Garbage Pail Kids cards, you’ll love these! Some of the cards include “Alyssa Arrested” based on the character from Hunting for Amy trapped in a giant “finger trap” puzzle. There is also “Rental Randal” with a copy of Happy Scrappy Hero Pup on VHS. There’s Silent Bobby, Snoochie Boo-Jay, Chee Lee and many more!
The cards are currently available on the Topps website and retail for $50. The checklist has 40 cards, which translate into 20 different characters each with the usual A/B name variations. All have roots in Smith’s films and the art is by GPK veterans Brent Engstrom and David Gross.
