Lionsgate shared a first photo of Tobin Bell in the next horror film I saw X and they also offered up some new details about the film that fans of the franchise are sure to find interesting.
The synopsis reads: “Tobin Bell’s return to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise while keeping them on their toes with new traps and a new mystery. to solve. “
It is also explained that Bell will, in fact, be reprising his role as John Kramer and that he will be narrating the untold chapter of the final Jigsaw games.
This film is set between the events of Saw I and II and follows “a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky, experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to find that the whole operation it’s a scam to swindle the underdog.The notorious killer returns to his job, turning the crooks upside down in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged and ingenious traps.
The cast for I saw X also includes Renata Vaca (Midnight family), Paulette Hernández (Crown of tears), Joshua Okamoto (Ctrl-Z), Octavio Hinojosa (Come and play with me), Synnove Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Stefano Marca (The Sandman) AND Michael Beach (Damer).
Franchise director Kevin Greutert, who worked on Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter, is set to helm the project.
Lionsgate will now release I saw X in theaters September 29, 2023!
