Saban Films has released the first trailer for the dark comedy Nandor Fodor and the talking mongoosewhich has a great that includes Simone Pegg, Christopher LyodAND Minnie Driver.
Pegg plays Dr. Nandor Fodor, “a famous real-life Hungarian-American psychoanalyst, author, journalist, and ‘parapsychologist’ who was a leading authority on poltergeists, ghosts, and other paranormal phenomena and in the 1930s advanced the theory that such ghosts could be the result of past unresolved mental tensions.
The film is based on a true story of Fodor’s pursuit of ‘Gef’, a supposed talking mongoose who inhabited a family’s home on the Isle of Man and attracted many ghost hunters, as well as the British tabloids, in the 1990s. 30.
The official synopsis reads: “When famed paranormal psychologist Dr. Nandor Fodor investigates a family’s claims about a talking animal, he uncovers a mysterious web of hidden motives. Soon, everyone becomes a suspect in Dr. Fodor’s relentless pursuit of the truth.
Lloyd plays Dr. Price, an esteemed psychic researcher and author who is also investigating the mysterious talking mongoose named Gef. Minnie Driver also plays Nandor’s assistant Anne as they embark on the journey together. The rest of the cast includes Paul Kaye as Maurice, and author Neil Gaiman as Gef.
The film will be released on September 1st.
