Tom Cruiseit is the recently released movie Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One has had a pretty strong box office thus far with a total of $235 million worldwide. The film made $80 million at the domestic box office, with $155 million from the rest of the world. After a string of disappointing box office receipts with big budget films, it’s great to see a film bring people to theaters! Let Tom Cruise bring the movie magic.
But the film had an incredibly high budget of $291 million before adding the cost of marketing which is another $100-$150 million. So while the movie is doing well at the box office, it still needs to make a lot more money to turn a profit. I don’t think that will be a problem, though. When all is said and done, I think the film will do well.
When it comes to the past Mission Impossible movie, in 2018 Mission: Impossible – Fallout had a gross of $61 million at the domestic box office to start and ended up setting a series record with $791 million globally. I expect this latest installment to do a bit more, but we’ll just have to wait and see what the end result is.
Regardless of the box office numbers, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning part one it’s a great movie! I’ve already watched it three times and each time I had a great time!
