Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny star Harrison Ford shared a heartfelt message for Indiana Jones fans that they will surely appreciate. This is the last we will see of Ford as Indiana Jones, and it was a pretty wild last adventure for him. I liked the movie, but it received mixed reviews and it’s not doing as well as Disney had hoped at the box office.
A video of Ford’s message was shared on social media and in it he says:
“For more than 40 years, I have been honored to be your Indiana Jones. Every moment of this adventure was created for you, the fans, and it has been one of the greatest joys of my career. Thank you for welcoming The Man With The Hat has been in your lives for generations. It was crucial for me to share Indy with all of you. As always, see you at the cinema, unless there are snakes of course.”

I grew up on this franchise and loved watching Ford’s crazy adventures as Indiana Jones, especially those first three movies. Those hold a special place in my heart, but I’m happy to see Ford play the character once more and tell one last story that he was excited to tell. Ford previously encouraged audiences to see the film in theaters by saying:
“I will really encourage people to go see this movie at the cinema with their family. As far away from your fridge as possible. Go into a place with strangers. People you don’t know, people you don’t watch the same news as you do, maybe, or people who don’t look like you or don’t feel like you, and you go into the dark and see something together that is laughter and joy and heart, and feel your common humanity.
Speaking about revisiting the character again and why he wanted to tell another story, Ford said:
“There were some interesting ideas that were pitched, but they didn’t materialize for a period of time. And then we came up with an idea and a script and a strong story that we wanted to tell. I’m very happy with the story that we’re telling .
“We’re coming to the end of Indiana Jones’ time on the planet, and I wanted to see a conclusion to his story that fits the reality of his age, and what effect it has on this person that we’ve come to know about the years.”
Ford went on to talk about the feelings he had when he hung up his hat and whip for the last time:
“The feeling I had is the feeling you get when you’ve done something, and you can look at it, or you can remember doing it, [and having] the satisfaction of committing oneself and getting something worthy out of it.
“I felt a sense of peace, a sense of fulfillment, that this particular work that [James Mangold] and me and everyone else involved had done it together, it ended up in a way that I felt was really satisfying. My hope is that others find it as satisfying as me.”
