The Friday schedule for Comic-Con 2023 has been released and if you attend the big geek culture event this year, there are plenty of panels to attend even though hardly any of the big studios will show up this year.
I’ve gone through and listed some of the highlights below, including panels for Good omens season 2, The Walking Dead Universe, Rick & Morty, The Continental, Gen V, Bob’s Burgers, Invincibleand more! You can see the full program here.

Little cartoon looniversity: Screening of Amblin and Warner Bros Animation’s latest Looniverse entry. Hilton Indigo Ballroom, 10am.

Collider directors on directing: Last year, John Wick: Chapter 4 director Chad Stahelski surprised Hall H with Keanu Reeves and a first look at the trailer. What’s in store for this year? Adult Swim’s Teenage Euthanasia: Trophy may be dead and stranded in Florida, but join the cast and crew very much alive in sunny San Diego as they look back on the apocalyptic near future and share an exclusive look at the new season. Hilton Indigo Ballroom, 12pm.
Good omens season 2: A sneak peek of the Prime Video series returning on July 28. With the Apocalypse thwarted, angel and demon best friends Aziraphale and Crowley are returning to the easy life among mortals in London’s Soho, when the Archangel Gabriel shows up unexpectedly, with no memory of who he is or how he got there. To solve this mystery and evade heaven and hell, the duo will need more than a miracle; they will have to rely on each other once again. The century-old saga takes us from before the Beginning to the present day, with many bizarre mortal and immortal characters joining the adventures along the way. With an all-original story that expands on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s beloved novel and 2019 television adaptation, Good Omens Season 2 stars Michael Sheen as the angel Aziraphale, David Tennant as the demon Crowley, Jon Hamm as the Archangel Gabriel, Miranda Richardson as the demon Shax, Quelin Sepulveda as the angel Muriel, Shelley Conn as the demon Beelzebub and Maggie Service, and Nina Sosanya as the humans Maggie and Nina. The Walking Dead universe: It wouldn’t be Comic-Con without the AMC TV franchise. What is promised at 13:00 in pavilion H is first look access.
Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomster: Can Metalocalypse be stopped? The cast and crew of this all-new R-rated animated original film, based on the hit Adult Swim series, talk about Metalocalypse, preview clips from the film, and discuss the new soundtrack and Dethalbum IV. Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar will be available on digital and Blu-ray starting August 22nd. HIlton Indigo Ballroom, 1:00pm
Mother Nature by Jamie Lee Curtis: A Heartfelt Discussion About Her New Graphic Novel/Movie: The Everything Everywhere All at Once The Oscar winner makes a special appearance at Comic-Con to launch her new graphic novel, Mother Nature, which debuts exclusively at SDCC. This stirring eco-horror graphic novel is adapted from her screenplay for the Comet Pictures / Blumhouse film. Co-writer Russell Goldman and artist Karl Stevens will be on stage with Forbidden Planet TV’s Jamie and Andrew Sumner to go behind the scenes of this unique project, ahead of the next Mother Nature film. Wētā Workshop: Celebrating 20 years of Middle-earth: Wētā Workshop presents a 20-year retrospective on the creation of imaginary worlds. Richard Taylor (Co-Founder & CEO, Wētā Workshop), Gino Acevedo (Senior Prosthetics Supervisor, LOTR; Creative Art Director, WētāFX), Daniel Falconer (Senior Designer, Wētā Workshop) and some of their team members take a look behind the scenes of this 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings. Jed Brophy (actor, stuntman, LOTR trilogy) will be hosting a Q&A session, and there may be a surprise return to the stage for a fan favorite! The Continental by Peacock: From the World of John Wick: Series stars and EPs Basil Iwanyk and Albert Hughes provide an exclusive first look at the series. A prequel to the hit action franchise, the series will explore the origin behind the iconic assassin hotel, centerpiece of the John Wick universe, through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he is dragged into Hell from the 70s. Fox’s Great North: The Tobins are back at Comic-Con. Join your favorite Lone Moose family for a hilarious look at their outrageous Alaskan adventures on The Great North, ahead of its fourth season on FOX. Hilton Indigo Ballroom, 4pm.
Gen V: From the world of The Boys, Prime Video reveals its highly anticipated new Gen V series with cast members, who will talk about the upcoming college spin-off for the first time. Set in America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V explores the lives of hormonal and competitive Supes as they test their physical, sexual and moral limits, competing for the school’s top ranking. Bob’s burgers: The Emmy Award-winning animated series returns to Comic-Con with an exciting first look at an upcoming episode before the series returns to FOX this fall. Hilton Indigo Ballroom 5pm.
Invincible by Prime Video: Executive producer Robert Kirkman and cast and crew members plan to break news and discuss key storylines for the upcoming and highly anticipated second season of the animated series, based on the comic book by Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. The story revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who is just like any other boy his age, except that his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet. Justice League: Warworld: World Premiere of Warner Bros. Animation’s newest feature film. DC’s Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman find themselves in mysterious lands and precarious circumstances with no recollection of how they got there and only vague recollections of their true selves. In addition to the screening, the directors and key cast members will hold a panel discussion and Q&A with the audience. The image will be available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on July 25th.
