For the most part, Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World is shrouded in mystery. Now a new report has emerged that says so Robert Downey Jr. was spotted on the film set.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Nawar Shora, a keynote speaker, shared a photo of himself on the film set in Washington, D.C. Shora spoke to some of the security guards while there, who told him that Robert Downey Jr. he had actually been on set the night before and everyone was “driving all kinds of supercars”.
There’s no confirmation that Downey Jr. is in the film, but since Tony Stark is dead, if Downey Jr. was there, he most likely just showed up to visit and say hello to some old friends. Production on Antonio Macchie the film officially wrapped last week.
I seriously doubt Downey Jr. is reprising his Tony Stark/Iron Man role. But, who knows… crazier things have happened and anything is possible in the MCU.
Julius Ona (The Cloverfield Paradox) will direct the film from a script written by Dalan Musson AND Malcolm Spellmanfor which they both wrote The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Spellman will produce with the president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige.
Captain America: Brave New World will be released next year on July 26, 2024.
