Here’s an exciting new behind-the-scenes featurette for Mission: Impossible -Dead Reckoning, part one! This focuses on an epic train stunt in the film that will have the audience on the edge of their seats. This epic train scene takes place in the final act of the movie and it’s awesome!
The scene finds Tom CruiseIt’s Ethan Hunt in a brutal brawl with Esai Morales’ villain atop a steam train. During a previous interview with the director Christopher McCarrie, explains that if they had known how difficult it would be to shoot this scene, they wouldn’t have done it. He said:
“We’re making a film that involves a sequence that they basically don’t shoot anymore, and they haven’t done in a long, long time. The sequence we’re shooting right now is no exception. And like most things in Mission: Impossible, if we’d known what the challenges were when we started, we never would have done it.
Now let’s take a look at how the scene was actually created and there was a lot of work involved in bringing this scene to life. It was about building their own caravan which they would be able to destroy. Seriously, what they did is insane! Nobody does! It’s so cool to see how they ended up bringing this intense climactic train sequence to life for the movie!
In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, first part, “Ethan Hunt and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet: track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake and dark forces from Ethan’s past closing in, he embarks on a deadly race around the globe. Facing a mysterious and all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to realize that nothing matters more than his mission, not even the lives of those he cares about.
We’ve already seen footage of an airplane stunt Cruise is doing for the film. There’s also that crazy stunt where he sends a motorcycle off a cliff into a base jump, which is said to be “The Greatest Stunt in the History of Motion Pictures.” There’s also a crazy car chase sequence that audiences will love, and there’s also a crazy fast flying stunt that was filmed.
The film is also the protagonist Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Simone Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa KirbyAND Henry Czerny together with the newcomers Shea Whigham (Joker), Pom Clementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War) e Esai Morales (La Bamba, Titans), Charles Parnell, Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Marco GatisAND Cary Elwes (Saw). Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Part Two will be released on July 12, 2023 and June 28, 2024.
