DC Announces Scripted Podcast Series THE FLASH: ESCAPE THE MIDNIGHT CIRCUS

Like DC Studios The flash continues to bomb at the box office, Warner Bros. has revealed its latest Scarlet Speedster-centric DC project with a new podcast series titled The Flash: Escape the midnight circus.

This is a scripted audio drama starring Max Greenfield (New girl) as The Flash and is said to be “a complement” to the film currently in theaters. It is a six-part podcast with episodes ranging from 12 minutes to approximately 20.

Here is a full synopsis that has been shared:

Barry Allen is at the height of his powers and fame, firmly ensconced as Central City’s favorite superhero, but when being The Flash forces him to let Iris down one too many times, he decides to call it quits. Undeterred, Barry thinks he can use the Speed ​​Force to go back in time and make things right. But something goes wrong, Barry plunges into a new dimension, finding himself in a small bedroom with Captain Cold, his powers gone from him. Cold tells Barry that he is an unwitting participant in a televised tournament, THE MIDNIGHT CIRCUS, which pits humans, superheroes, and thieves against each other in games of chance of life and death. Survive the competition and Barry earns his freedom, recreates the conditions of his original transformation and returns to his timeline. But to do that, he’ll have to rely solely on his wits. And if that wasn’t hard enough, he soon finds himself facing his toughest opponent: Iris West.

The first two parts of the podcast will be released on Monday, July 10 exclusively on Apple Podcasts, with the remaining episodes dropping weekly on each following Monday.

All six episodes will also be included with The Flash on Digital, 4K UHD and Blu-ray whenever it is released on physical home media.
