Community fans have been waiting a Community movie to do for years. It’s never really been a sure thing, but creator Dan Harmon he managed to pull it off and the movie went 100%! The project is currently on hold due to the writers strike, but in Joel McHalethe words of, Community: the movie is “still going to happen”.
He also previously said: “When this strike is over, we will come back and make it through. And I’m sure of it [series creator] Dan [Harmon] will put in 12 bars addressing the fact that it took [this long to come together]. But we’ll get there. It might just take a while.
McHale was recently a guest on Kelly Ripa’s podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera, and during the show he talked about Community and specifically discussed Donald Duck Gloveinvolvement of R. Gover previously confirmed his return and McHale talks about how important he is to the film. He said:
“Donald is coming back and this is very important. The fact that Donald will do it, that was the big deal. But I think they will all come back. I mean, we’re pretty good so far. And I think it will. Otherwise, you know, Donald will be there.
We don’t really know what the story will involve, but McHale does, and he’s previously teased that the story is pretty awesome, saying, “I know what’s going on. [in the movie] but I can’t say anything. Everyone dies, it’s like the end of Hamlet. From what I know, it’s great, it really is. It will be a burning barn.
McHale and Glover will be joined in the film by returning stars Danny Pudi as Abed Nadir, Alison Brie as Annie Edison, Gillian Jacobs as Britta Perry, Jim Rash such as Dean Pelton, e Ken Jeong as Ben Chang. We don’t know for sure yet if Yvette Nicole Brown will be back. Keith David he is also expected to reprise his role as Elroy Patashnik.
