We recently got a great new trailer for the director Denis Villeneuve’S Dune: second part, but the next film will not conclude the story. The director has teased in the past that he has in mind a third one that he was thinking of making, and it looks like he’s going to pull it off.
Deadline reported it Dune: second part it would be the second film in a planned three-film saga. They confirmed to World of Reel, saying, “That’s what Denis says is the plan.”
Villeneuve has previously discussed his plans for a third film saying, “There’s the second book of Dune, Dune Messiah, which could make an extraordinary film.” I always saw that there could be a trilogy; later, we’ll see. They are years of work; I can’t think of going any further.”
It is also developing the Dune: The Sisterhood series for Max. I love that the director is deeply exploring this universe.
Dune is the journey of a mythical and emotionally charged hero, and tells the story of Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet), “a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s sole supply of the most precious resource in existence, a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential, only those who can conquer their fear will survive.
The next chapter of the story will explore the “mythical journey of Paul Atreides as he joins Chani and the Fremen as he is on the warpath to exact revenge on the conspirators who destroyed his family. Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he struggles to prevent a dire future only he can foresee.
The cast of the film includes Timothee Chalamet like Paul Atreides, Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Zendaya like Chani, Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Harkonnen, Javier Bardem as Chieftain Stilgar, Charlotte Rampling like Reverend Mother Mohiam, David Dastmcalchian in the role of Peter De Vries, Chang Chen as Doctor Yueh, Sharon Duncan Brewster such as Liet-Kynes, e Dave Bautista as the nephew of Baron Rabban.
The highly anticipated sequel Dune: second part will hit theaters on November 3, 2023.
