Evan Peters (Dahmer, WandaVision, X-Men) is set to star alongside Jared Leto in joined Disney’s third film in the Tron franchise titled Tron: Ares. The film is directed Joachim Ronning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Kon Tiki) and I really hope it becomes great Tron movie.
It is unknown who will play Peters in the film, but Leto will play the role of Ares, which is the manifestation of the Tron program. There are two key characters in the story which includes a soldier in the virtual world and a player in the human sphere.
Tron: Ares producer Justin Springer, He previously spoke about the film saying the time seems right for a third film:
“Yes, I’m a producer on whatever becomes the upcoming movie, and I hope we get to make it someday soon, but we’re still in development. And there’s not much I can say about that just because we want to put everything in order and we want to make sure we have a movie that seems to fulfill the ambition of the things that preceded it. more relevant than they’ve ever been. So the time seems right. And there’s a giant ride here now, and there’s one in Shanghai, but we’ve got to get it right. We’ve got to have the story and we’ve got to have the right team And so there’s still some work to do before we have much to say about the film.”
The screenplay of the film was written by Jesse Wigutowand Disney is looking to start production in August of this year in Vancouver if the actors don’t go on strike.
