Blue Beetle Joins James Gunn’s DCU! This was confirmed by the director and he revealed exciting details about the character’s future. After The Flash’s box office flop, all eyes are on the next chapter of the DCU in cinemas, as it has the task of winning back the audience. Although Superman: Legacy was supposed to be the opening film of this new phase, surprisingly, Blue Beetle will be in charge of taking the first step.

Recently, Blue Beetle director Ángel Manuel Soto gave an interview to Total Film magazine where he was asked where this film would fit into the DCU narrative, not in terms of chronology, but continuity.
