Many Fast & Furious fans seemed quite surprised when Gal Gadot showed up briefly in Fast X in a submarine to rescue Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty e Charlize Theronby Cypher. I can’t say I was surprised because it’s made clear that no one can really stay dead in the franchise. It was only a matter of time before he reappeared.
During a recent interview with Gadot, she talked a bit about returning to the Fast family after all these years of thinking her character Gisele was dead. In Fast & Furious 6, she dropped herself out of a plane in the infamous runway scene to save Han from being shot by one of Owen Shaw’s henchmen. I guess it’s something that someone could survive.
Gadot told Total Film: “Wow. I wish I could say something. If I have to tell you something, someone will jump in my room and tie my mouth. But Fast was the first feature film I ever made as an actress. They gave me my first break, my first break in Hollywood. And I will be forever grateful for that. And they are a community. They are like family. We still keep in touch. They hold a special place in my heart and it’s very exciting.” .
Gadot added, “I think Fast Saga… they build a huge, incredible, loyal fan base like no other. I haven’t seen that anywhere.” [else], You know? And my love for them, and the love of the fans, and my love for the fans, felt right this time. And it’s very exciting.”
I guess Gadot will be back in the next film in the series as a director Louis Letterier previously teased the return of characters in the franchise. Of what’s to come he said, “The thing with this is that we’re getting close to the end. We’ve been very open about it that this is the end of the road and we’re near the end. So there’s no character that doesn’t is talked about or mentioned. Everyone in this franchise, literally, as you’ve seen, is mentioned or seen. Just to tell you, this is just the beginning. You’ll see. That’s all I have to say. You’ll see.
Many fans are curious to see how the franchise will end. I didn’t like the last two movies that were made. I’m not expecting much from the future of the franchise, but I’ve already invested so much time in the franchise, so of course I’ll keep watching until the end.
What do you think of Gal Gadot returning to the franchise to play a role in closing the story?
