This is a blast from the past for me. When I was growing up my father bought an Electric Football, an electronic board game that reproduces the action of an NFL game on a vibrating board. I thought it was such a cool and fun game to play when I was a kid!
The game was actually introduced in 1947, but my time with it was in the 80s. I haven’t thought about Electric Football in years, then suddenly I come across a video saying it’s popular again in the US!? It shocked me to hear that there has been a resurgence of this game.
Tudor Games, who is the creator of this modern version of the game, has made a short film showing how this resurgence happened and how people are coming together to share this wonderful hobby.
Breaking through preconceived notions, this short film offers unique insight into the people behind the resurgence of electric football. An independent filmmaker’s look at today’s Electric Football products, artists and competitors.
Have you ever played Electric Football!? Are you playing it now!? Enjoy the video!
