Genndy Tartakovsky’s R-Rated animated comedy FIXED voice cast announcement and new details

Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Primal, Hotel Transylvania, Star Wars: Clone Wars) has been working hard to develop his R-rated animated film project, Fixed. The film follows a dog who discovers that he is going to be neutered in the morning and the story follows what he does in his next 24 hours. Tartakovsky was inspired by such films as The 40 year old virgin AND To knock during the development of this project.

The voice cast for this film has been announced and that cast will be led by Adam Devine, Idris ElbaAND Kathryn Hahn.

The main character of the film is called Bull, just an average dog who finds out that he is going to be neutered in the morning. But, “as the gravity of this life-changing event sets in, Bull realizes he needs one last fling with his pack of best friends since these are the last 24 hours with his balls.”

Tartakovsky told Variety in an interview, “Some people might feel uncomfortable.” But the goal for him isn’t to shock the audience, the goal for him is to make “a classic film. As Lady and the Tramp OR 101 Dalmatiansbut rated R. If you can look past the balls and assholes, you’ll find a very sweet, charming, and heartfelt story of friendship and romance.

Adam Devine will play the role of Bull and Idris Elba will play his friend Rocco. Join them are Bobby Moynihan how lucky, Fred Armisen how to take, Beck Bennett like SterlingGall River like Frankie E Michele Buteau like molasses. Hahn will play Bull’s love interest, Honey.

Producer Michael Murdocca opened up about Hahn’s involvement, saying, “When Kathryn decided to do it, she told us, ‘I want to be just like the boys. I don’t want to be the sweet girl in the background who has no depth to her. You make it a little more vulgar.’ Hiring her brought this character to life.

Tartakovsky spoke about the casting, saying, “I’ve been doing this job for 30 years and when you find someone who knows comedic timing as a voice actor, that’s it. It makes our job so much easier.” Obviously he found that ability in all the actors he cast in the film. He went on to say, “Also, I like the voices to disappear. When Idris is playing Rocco, you might recognize him, but then you settle down.

The film will be made using traditional hand-drawn 2D animation, which is a lost art, and I’m so glad they’re using it in this film. Tartakovsky said: “It has become a lost art. These days, everything is computer generated. It was my dream to do it.” He went on to call it a love letter to Bugs Bunny or Tex Avery, or even 1950s Disney.

Murdocca added, “It became this homage. We’ve been able to secure entertainers that we never thought we’d get. At that moment it became very exciting.

Tartakovsky went on to say, “Comedy is always the hardest thing, but in animation you create it out of nothing. That’s why I entered it. I could draw a little stick figure running, my friends would look over my shoulder and laugh. It’s such an amazing illusion.

She added, “We have four layers of humor here: the gross stuff, the physicality, some character humor, and the dog owner humor. We don’t talk about pop culture; let’s not make fun of the Kardashians. It is only within this one world.

That world includes a place called “The Hump House”, which is where Bull and his friends end up in the story. But Tartakovsky joked that it’s “nothing compared to the film’s explosive ending, which is raunchy, very sexual but also very sincere.”

It will be really interesting and fun to see how this story unfolds! I’m definitely intrigued!
