Nick Fury has been through a lot over the years in the MCU, has faced some pretty big threats, and played a role in saving the world on several occasions. Now, in the upcoming Marvel Secret invasion series, Samuel L.Jackson’s Fury will face another big threat and this time he feels like he has to face it alone.
This story is set in the current MCU, “Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill, and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an impending Skrull invasion and save humanity.
We have a new clip to share with you from the series, and it features Fury and Cobie SmulderMaria Hill has a little conversation during a game of chess. Hill shares how different Fury has become and questions whether or not he’s ready for what he must do to try and stop the Skrull invasion. Whether or not he’s ready, she seems to be in the mindset of doing what he has to do to get the job done.
The series is also starring Ben Mendelsohn, Martin Freemann, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneranwith Emilia Clarke, Olivia ColmannAND Don Cheadle.
Based on Brian Michael Bendis, Leinil Francesco Yu, Marco MoralesAND Laura Martin’S comic series, Secret Invasion is produced by Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot), with the director of Let Him Go Thomas Bezucha AND Ali Selim (The Looming Tower) set as directors.
Secret invasion will premiere June 21, exclusively on Disney+.
