What do you think about TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS? While audiences love it, I was so disappointed

Audience Score for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts set a franchise record with an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and I honestly don’t understand why. So, I wanted to take the question out to our audience and ask what you think Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Although the film has an audience rating of 88%, it has a critical rating of 55%. In my opinion, Bumblebee is still the best film in the series, but it has an audience rating of 74%. However, it is the best-reviewed Transformers movie with a 91% critical score.

As for the other films in the series, 2009’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is at 57%, 2011’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon is at 55%, 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction is at 50%, and Transformers: The Last Knight from 2017 has a rating of 43%.

I saw The rise of the beasts over the weekend, and after reading all the good reviews, I was really excited to watch it! Some people said it’s the best movie in the series! Well I ended up walking to the theater super disappointed. I thought the movie was just about the same as what Michael Bay was doing with his latest films in the series. Definitely not as good as Bumblebee or Michael Bay’s first Transformers movie.

There are so many reasons why the film didn’t work for me, but first and foremost were the script and the story. Bumblebee proved that one could say a fort Transformers story with solid character development, but The rise of the beasts i just fell back with the quality of storytelling! Hell, the animated original Transformers: The Movie it had a better story and script! This movie just filtered it out, but it made it worse.

It’s so frustrating for me to see such an amazing franchise Transformers, something I grew up with and am excited about, squandered. This movie could and should have been so much better. There is a lot of great talent involved and a lot of hard work to make these movies! The least the creative team could do was tell a great story worth telling.

Producer Lawrence of Bonaventure said of the film, “People really loved Bumblebee’s heartfelt story, but some of the core fans wanted a more intense experience, so when we set out to make this film, our goal was to combine heart and spectacle and make sure that these two parties have served each other well. This movie has the massive scale that the Transformers movies are known for and Bumblebee’s intimacy in terms of relationships. It’s just a really great experience in every possible way.

I just don’t think they managed to pull it off. To me, it was just more than what Bay was doing in his after Transformers movie.

He went on to say that the new film introduces “a ton of new heroes and villains that will blow diehard fans’ jaws. lore is based on what happened on Cybertron, which gives us a lot of leeway to explore the universe at large. So, in this movie, we bring the Maximals for the first time ever.”

I don’t care which Transformers characters appear in the movie! It’s how they’re used in the story that matters as well The rise of the beasts just dropped the ball with that.

Normally I can find a lot of good things in movies and I’m usually very positive. People always criticize me for “I like everything”, but of course that’s not true. There are movies I don’t like and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts it just didn’t do it for me. There were too many things that made me roll my eyes. I just see the potential for how incredible this franchise can be, and for some reason, the people in charge of making the film fail to hit that mark of sheer beauty.

I can totally see kids and young teens enjoying this movie, though! While it didn’t provide the entertainment I was hoping for, there are obviously a lot of people out there who enjoyed the film. If you liked the movie, please let me know why, I’m curious. I’m not here to critique your opinion, I’m honestly interested in why people liked this movie, what did I miss that so many other people are getting?

Please share your thoughts on the movie in the comments section below, the good and the bad!
