For fans of the animated Spider-Verse movies who have seen the second film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, you know this film is chock full of easter eggs and so many visually stunning scenes, it will take many more rewatches to capture a fraction of the cool stuff on offer. While all live-action superhero movies are known to have some awesome hidden gems, it seems like you could cram a lot more into an animated film, and the film’s co-director Joaquim Dos Santos confirmed that there are more of them than we could have imagined in this film!
In a recent interview with Collider, Dos Santos confirmed that the Easter eggs in the film would all be listed in the director’s commentary before adding that they number in the “thousands.” He went on to add:
“There’s a lot, there’s a lot. There’s billboards on the screen for about a second that I think are jokes on so-and-so and the other guy. If you look at the wide shots, half the members who are at the party, one sort of underneath Miles and his mom, if you look real close, those aren’t even the CG models, those are just actors playing over there.”
