Ubisoft has revealed the first trailer for its upcoming open world Star Wars action-adventure video game Star Wars outlaw. This game looks pretty awesome and the story is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The trailer also features a shot of Han Solo frozen in carbonite.
The game is touted as the first open-world Star Wars game and players will be able to explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new. The story centers around a female character named Kay Vess, voiced by Humberly Gonzalez. Kay Vess is “an up-and-coming rogue seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, alongside her partner Nix. You fight, steal and outwit the criminal syndicates of the galaxy as you join the most wanted in the galaxy.
The character Nix will be voiced by The bad lot‘S Dee Bradley Baker. In a press release, creative director Julian Gerighty spoke about the setting of the game, saying:
“When we first envisioned the first open-world Star Wars game, we explored where and when it might take place and quickly realized we had all the right ingredients for a scoundrel’s journey. These outlaws live the life under the control of the Galactic Empire, but can still thrive given the opportunities the underworld offers for people looking to capitalize on the turmoil. The time is ripe for a new outlaw to make a name for himself and Kay Vess is written in the stars.”
Star Wars: Outlaws looks like it will be great Star Wars game! There have been many great ones Star Wars games made over the years and I’m excited to embark on the adventure this has to offer.
