If you are a fan of the 1987 classic Paul Verhoeven-direct film RoboCop, I have here a nice print that you may be interested in collecting. This RoboCop poster art was created by the artist Jonathan Barlett for Spoke-Art.
The 24×36 print comes in a regular edition of 75 for $70 and there is also a variant edition of 40 for $100. This is one classy looking poster! Check it out below!
The film is the protagonist Peter Weller and is set in the crime city of Detroit, RoboCop features a society overwhelmed by crime and corporate greed. Megacorporation Omni Consumer Products (OCP) aims to take over the city by replacing the police force with robotic enforcers. However, their plans are put to a halt when Constable Alex Murphy, a dedicated cop, is brutally murdered by a gang of criminals led by Clarence Boddicker.
In a groundbreaking experiment, OCP combines what’s left of Murphy’s body with advanced cybernetic technology to create RoboCop, a part-human, part-robot law enforcement officer. As RoboCop takes to the streets, he enforces the law with unprecedented efficiency and brutality, becoming a symbol of justice and a deterrent to criminals.
As RoboCop begins to recover fragments of his past memories, he sets out to avenge his own death by targeting those responsible for his murder. Along the way, he uncovers a web of corruption within the OCP, involving high-ranking executives and their illicit dealings.
RoboCop grapples with his own humanity as he navigates his dual existence as machine and resurrected human. Through her interactions with her former partner, Officer Anne Lewis, and other characters, she develops a sense of compassion and a desire to protect the innocent.
