Tom Cruise is frustrated that Christopher Nolan’s OPPENHEIMER is taking over all IMAX theaters

Christopher Nolanthe upcoming atomic bomb movie Oppenheimer is booked exclusively at every theater and IMAX screen in North America for three full weeks, e Tom Cruise he is said to be very frustrated with the situation.

According to a Puck News report, Cruise is said to have complained “loudly” to Paramount executives about the whole situation because Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning part one will be in theaters just over a week early Oppenheimer is released, so that film will only have nine days of showing in IMAX.

The report also says Cruise has also been calling around studio and theater executives, looking to open as many premium large-format screens as possible for Dead Reckoning, which opens July 12. Oppenheimer it comes out on July 21st

So, a year after Cruise “saved the movies” with Top Gun: nonconformist, the actor is now fighting for the theatrical launch of his next film, and it’s one he most likely won’t win. Oppenheimer was filmed entirely with IMAX cameras and IMAX will want to show it. So, it has three full weeks of exclusivity.

Also, Universal Pictures is said to have gone into lockdown Oppenheimerrelease date of months before Showdown moved to the current release date.

The epic thriller will chronicle “the heart-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world to save it.” Nolan is such a strong storyteller and this film is going to be something special, it just feels like an incredible film that tells a fascinating story.

The film is the protagonist Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who ran the Manhattan Project that led to the creation of the atomic bomb during World War II. He is joined by Emilia Blunt as his wife, biologist and botanist Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer, Matt Damon as General Leslie Groves Jr., director of the Manhattan Project, e Robert Downey Jr. such as Lewis Strauss, a founding commissioner of the United States Atomic Energy Commission.

The film is also the protagonist Florence Pug as psychiatrist Jean Tatlock, Benny Safdie plays theoretical physicist Edward Teller, Michael Angarano plays Robert Serber, Josh Hartnett plays pioneering American nuclear scientist Ernest Lawrence, along with Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Dan DeHaan, DylanArnold, David Krumholtz, Alden EhrenreichAND Matthew Modino.

The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer Of Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin.
