IFC Films has shared a new trailer for the comedy Biosphere, what stars Marco Duplass AND Sterling K. Brown as the last two men on Earth. They live in a biosphere and must adapt and evolve to save humanity.
In the film, “Billy (Duplass) and Ray (Brown) are lifelong best friends, brothers from another mother – and the last two men on earth. Their survival is largely due to Ray, a brilliant scientist who designed a domed structure with all the necessary systems to support life on a planet that could no longer support it. Their personalized biosphere is equipped with basic necessities and comforts that allow them to maintain a sense of what life was like. A hydroponic garden provides fresh vegetables and a carefully maintained pond supplies essential proteins. Recently, however, fish have started dying at an alarming rate. With only three fish left, Billy and Ray face an ominous future. But life could still find a way.
The film was co-written by Duplass Brothersand was directed by Mel Eslyn, who is making his feature film directorial debut. Sounds like a fun movie!
IFC Films will release Biosphere theatrically and on VOD beginning July 7, 2023.
