What is the origin of the Thunderbolts that the MCU will present on film?

THE The Lightnings are a group of fictional superheroes from Marvel Comics who made their first appearance in The Incredible Hulk #449 in 1997. This team is characterized by being made up of superhumans who were once villains, but have now decided to band together and work together as heroes. Their introduction to audiences was quite intriguing, as they emerged as a new team to fill the void left by the Avengers, who were believed to be dead at the time.

However, there was a surprising twist in their story: it turned out that the Thunderbolts were actually costumed super-villains trying to manipulate public opinion and carry out their own evil plans.

As the storyline developed, some team members began to question their actions and experience a shift in their morality. Characters like Hawkeye (Hawkeye), Songbird and Mach-V became the group’s ethical pillars and strove to redeem themselves and make amends for their past mistakes. It was in that moment that the Thunderbolts became true anti-heroes, ready to meet challenges and protect New York City from threats from both without and within.

Over the years, the Thunderbolts have gone through a number of roster and management changes. They’ve evolved from being a team of costumed villains to becoming agents of the United States government, carrying out special missions under the leadership of the likes of Norman Osborn and Agent Venom. During major events such as Dark Reign and Secret Avengers, the Thunderbolts have played a crucial role, showing their versatility and adaptability in complex situations.

although the temporary suspension of production is a disappointment for the fans, we can hope that once the writers’ strike is over, Marvel Studios eagerly resumes filming of this long-awaited film.
