Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming animated series Skull Island. The story of the show is set within Legendary’s Monsterverse and the trailer shows different creatures in that universe in devastating attack mode!
Skull Island takes viewers on “a thrilling adventure in which a group of kind-hearted explorers rescue Annie from the ocean, unaware that their act of heroism will lead them to the treacherous Skull Island. This enigmatic place is home to bizarre creatures and terrifying monsters, including the mighty titan himself, Kong.
The ensemble voice cast for the series includes Nicola Cantu (Dragons Rescue Riders: Heroes of the Sky, The Fabelmans) lending his voice to Charlie. I’m with him Mae Whitman (Family Guy, DC Super Hero Girls) as Annie, Darren Barnett (Never Have I Ever, Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles) like Mike, Benjamin Bratt (Poker face, Coco) as Cap, e Betty Gilpin (Mrs. Davis, glow) as Irene.
The series is created, written and executive produced by Brian Duffield (Cocaine bear, love and monsters). The animation was done by Powerhouse Animation who have also worked on shows such as Castlevania AND Blood of Zeus.
Legendary Television’s all-new animated series will debut June 22, exclusively on Netflix. Enjoy the trailer!
