Vin Diesel confirms more FAST AND FURIOUS spinoffs in the works, including that female-directed film

While the legacy Fast & Furious the saga is coming to an end with a couple more movies that will wrap up the family story, more spin-off movies have been teased over the years. One of these projects is a film directed by women which is in development and all these projects are still in the works.

During a recent interview with the franchise star Vin Dieselconfirmed that the spin-offs are in development and stated, “I started developing the female spin-off…in 2017 with more spin-offs, and the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spin-offs- off”.

Fast X it’s the first part of the franchise’s ending, and speaking of that, Diesel said, “It’s bittersweet to think about an ending. Look at how many characters and great talent there are in the film”.

As for the possible 12th film that was previously teased, the actor said, “There was no way I could make it if I didn’t have everyone for five seconds. These characters are attractive and we need to see more of them.”

As for the spin-offs, the female-led film was previously rumored to focus Charlize Theronthe character of Cipher. Franchise star Michelle Rodriguez isn’t sure if she’ll be a part of it, as she previously said: “Pass the baton. You take the back seat. Go to the passenger side. When it comes to the next generation, you have to. It’s the only way to let them define the future.”

Diesel also spoke about the return of franchise characters Gisele (Gal Gadot) and Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) into the franchise, and said, “I’m so excited to have them back home and even more excited to see the fan reactions and see how happy it makes people.” The two characters will have much bigger roles in the upcoming eleventh film.
