Someone is ready for another american pie Continuation!? Well, according to the franchise actor Seann William Scott, we may get another sequel as there is a “great idea” for one. The last film in the series was american meeting in 2012, and when asked if there would be a sequel to that film during an interview with CB, Scott responded by saying:
“I don’t know, I love the character so much. We have to have a great idea, and especially these days, it has to be great. You know, comedy is tough, and they always have been, but you know, comedies have really changed But I think, honestly, we’ve talked about an idea. I had one and I still have one that we literally only recently started talking about.
Scott went on to talk about how fun it would be to make another sequel with Stifler in his 40s still trying to figure out his life. He said:
“It would be so funny to see, I think, funny, but also really fascinating to see a guy like Stifler in his 40s today trying to figure things out. A guy who hasn’t changed much, but the world has changed, you know, what would his life?…Is there a funny ending to a story? I don’t know if that will ever happen.”
It looks like the path of the Cobra Kai the creative team went with Johnny Lawrence, and it’s not hard to imagine Stifler in a similar situation.
I don’t think we really need more American Pie movies, but as someone who has enjoyed the comedy series movies over the year, if they made another sequel, yeah, I’d probably watch it. Would you like to see another one american pie Continuation?
