Samuel L.Jackson (Secret Invasion, Jurassic Park) AND Boyd Holbrook (Indiana Jones and the Quadrant of Destiny, Narcos) will star in an upcoming death row drama titled Last meals.
Jackson will play Walter in the film, “a disgraced White House chef who finds himself many years later working in a maximum security prison cooking last-minute meals for death row inmates.” Holbrook will play the role of Reed, “the inmate who goes on a hunger strike under Walter’s watch.”
In the story, “the two men form an unlikely bond that gives Walter a glimpse into the soul of a man who is willing to give up his last pleasurable experience to protest his innocence.”
The film will be directed by Andrew Levitaswho has previously worked on films such as Minimum hero Johnny Depp AND Lullaby with Garrett Hedlund AND Amy Adams. The screenplay of the film was written by Justin Piasecki.
Sounds like an interesting story that will make for a solid film, especially with the talent involved. This project was supposed to go into production a couple of years ago with Delroy Lindo attached to the star, but when the pandemic hit it froze.
