The classic fan favorite animated comedy series Archer is coming to a close with season 14, and it was announced that it will debut on FXX on August 30, then stream the next day on Hulu.
This show took fans on a pretty crazy and hilarious journey, and while I’m saddened to learn that the show is coming to an end, I knew it was only a matter of time. I just hope it ends on a high note and comes out strong.
In the upcoming season, “Archer and The Agency are finding their way with Lana at the helm. Her goal is to make money while making the world a better place, but she soon discovers that running a spy agency isn’t that simple.
The series features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin as the world’s greatest spy, Sterling Archer; Aisha Tyler as spy with marital problems, Lana Kane; Judy Greer as the crazy office assistant in search of a special ability, Cheryl/Carol Tunt; Chris Parnell as dependable company man, Cyril Figgis; Amber Nash as enthusiastic thug, Pam Poovey; Adam Reed as the opportunist, Ray Gillette; AND Lucky Yates such as the lead experimenter, Algernop Krieger. It also features season 14 Natalie Dew as the gang’s new super agent, Zara Khan.
Archer was created by Adam Reed and is executive produced by Matt Thompson, Casey Willis and co-executive produced by Mark Ganek of Floyd County Productions.
Archer follows the adventures of self-absorbed secret agent Sterling Archer and his dysfunctional team at the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS). While the show initially focused on the spy genre, it has also explored different settings and themes and fans appreciate its unique blend of signature humor and witty dialogue.
