FX has already renewed What do we do in the shadows for Seasons 5 and 6, and it was just announced that Season 5 will premiere this summer on July 13 on FX! The new episodes will also be available on Hulu the following day.
This series is based on the hilarious feature film by Jemaine Clement AND Taika Waititithe series documents the nocturnal exploits of vampire housemates Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Lazlo (Matt Berry), Nadia (Natasia Demetrius) and Colin Robinson (Marco Proksch) as they navigate the modern world of Staten Island with the help of their human familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillen).
The show features a mockumentary-style format, documenting the mundane and absurd aspects of the existence of vampires as they navigate modern society, and the comedy is damn good fun! This is always such a pleasant series to watch.
The main characters include Nandor, the self-appointed leader of the group; Laszlo, secular vampire with a mischievous character; Nadja, a seductive and cunning vampire; and Colin Robinson, an energy vampire who feeds on the boredom and annoyance of others.
Throughout the series, the Vampires face various comical challenges and situations, including dealing with their human familiar, Guillermo. They also face conflicts with other supernatural beings, such as werewolves and witches.
The show deftly blends humor, horror, and parody, providing a fresh and entertaining take on vampire mythology
