We have a new trailer to watch for the second season of Apple TV+’s ambitious series adaptation Isaac Asimov’S Foundation. The story follows a band of exiles on their epic journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization during the fall of the Galactic Empire.

When revolutionary Dr. Hari Seldon predicts the imminent fall of the Empire, “he and a group of loyal followers venture to the far corners of the galaxy to establish the Foundation in an effort to rebuild and preserve the future of civilization. Enraged by Hari’s claims, the Cleon rulers – a long line of clone emperors – fear their unrivaled reign could weaken as they are forced to deal with the potential reality of losing their powerful legacy forever.”

Season 2 is set more than a century after the season 1 finale, “tension rises across the galaxy in Foundation second season. As the Cleons dissolve, a vengeful queen plots to destroy the Empire from within. Hari, Gaal and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psychic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: War with the Empire. Foundation tells the stories of four pivotal individuals who transcend space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties, and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.
