The film is a remake of the 2022 Danish film, the story of which revolves around a family invited to an idyllic country house for a weekend. It should be a dream vacation that turns into a psychological nightmare.

In the 2022 original film, “During a vacation in Tuscany, a Danish family becomes instant friends with a Dutch family. Months later, the Danish couple receives an unexpected invitation. It doesn’t take long before the joy of reunion is replaced by misunderstanding.

What was supposed to be an idyllic weekend slowly begins to unravel as Danes try to remain polite in the face of unpleasantness. The film is actually a traumatizing and disturbing film, and I like the cast that is coming together for it!

Universal Pictures will release the film on August 9, 2024.
