Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 it was so damn good it made me even more excited about what James Gunn will lead to DC Studios, specifically Superman: Legacy, which he is writing and directing. During Warner Bros. Discovery’s latest earnings call, CEO David Zaslav teased the magnitude of what Gunn is planning. He said:

“We have James Gunn and Peter (Safran) working very hard on DC, which will be a huge growth driver for this company. We are very confident on DC. The first draft of the Superman script is finished. Gunn is on a mission from God. It’s a really good time to show DC what we’ve achieved and how strong it is globally for long-term sustainable growth.”
Gunn is on a mission from God! Ah! I’m not sure, but I think he will do great things with the DC Cinematic Universe.
Superman: Legacy will introduce a new version of Superman and tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, driven by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
I heard that Gunn has an actor who would like to play Clark Kent/Superman, but I have no idea when he will announce it. The actor is not well known. When previously speaking about the type of actor she’s looking to cast for the role, she said: ‘It’s tough, but we’re looking, and we actually have some really great choices, which I’m excited about. humanity that Superman has, but he’s also an alien. It has to be someone who has the kindness and compassion that Superman has. And it has to be someone you want to give a hug.”
Superman: Legacy will kick off the film portion of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1, and will be followed by The brave and the daring, Supergirl, Swamp thingand more.
Pre-production on the film began last month, with costumes, set design, and more now in production.
